A Look Back at 2022

Our year in review is here, and what can we say? 2022 was quite the game-changer.

Well, that was fast! As this past year flew by, TierOne was racking up the highlights.

Throughout 2022, the world was busy deciding how much money to lose on crypto, becoming experts in the lineage of Queen Elizabeth II’s corgis, basking in the heat of the Twitter dumpster fire, or strategically planning upsets into their World Cup brackets (okay, okay, we did all these things, too).

Meanwhile, here at TierOne HQ we were growing our team, helping our clients through a record number of mergers and acquisitions, and staying on top of the rapidly shifting supplier landscape — while garnering a few accolades for doing so.

Despite the ups and downs of the year, we consistently brought our A-game.

We’ve Been Eating Our Wheaties.

Last year, we welcomed 23 new companies to the TierOne family and helped our clients onboard 216 new sites across the nation, bringing our presence to a total of 44 states.

We didn’t let our growth stop us from delivering award-winning service. In fact, we #crushedit, and the industry took notice. We earned top partner designations from AppDirect, Intelisys, GoTo, and Nitel, and we were recognized among Channel Future's 101 Top Technology Advisors. We even made it to the Inc. 5000 as the nation’s 11th fastest-growing telecom country!

Lookin’ Good

This was the year that we single-handedly kept our interior designer in business. Three of our departments expanded last year with the addition of a few fresh faces:


Michael Peacock
joined TierOne on Day 1 of 2022, bringing his UX and graphic design skill set (and knowledge of “all things nerdy” — his words!) to the marketing team as Experience Design Director.

Kyle Tiggemann joined the Business Intelligence team early last year and has already exhausted his “Question Quota” for the decade (go ahead, ask him about it). He utilizes his organizational and strategic management skills to seamlessly monitor ongoing client projects.

Tyler Green quickly became a client favorite on the Customer Success team, bringing desktop support, network engineering, and server administration experience to his highly technical role.

Kristina Coons is shaking up the marketing team by injecting TierOne’s events with infectious energy and unforgettable moments, plus a few The Office quotes.

We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat

As we love to say, we handle the headaches so our clients can spend their time doing what they do best. So this year, while we tackled on day-to-day project management, troubleshooting, and billing disputes, our clients got busy acquiring or merging with other companies.

While these organizations were going gangbusters, we were hustling behind the scenes to unify communications systems, upgrade legacy systems, and onboard new locations across the nation for a seamless unification process.

All Around Me Are Familiar Faces

As technology agents, our value proposition is that we keep up to date on the industry so you don’t have to. But, boy, did we have our work cut out for us last year.

This past year saw a slew of mergers and acquisitions in the telecommunications and technology industry (12 of our partners in 2022 alone!). This shook up not only our supplier portfolio, but also the tools, services, and solutions available on the marketplace.

But throughout it all, our customers were clamoring for one thing above all else: Microsoft Teams–integrated voice. Heck, we even hopped on the bandwagon at TierOne HQ!
